Wow, already into August! As I sit here and type Mark is at work, Evan is at soccer practice, and Katy is still in NC. The August calendar is already starting to get all marked up with events. Evan has orientation for high school next Wednesday! It is the first time in the history of his school career that he is saying he's looking forward to school starting. Yey!
I have been online hunting for used books for Katy (and myself). I'm getting some pretty good results thus far. Our schedules don't line up good enough to be able to ride together, but that is o.k.
I have been walking/exercising everyday. Even though we've had incrediable heat, I have been able to get it in either early in the morning or after the sun starts to set.
Julia and the yay-who's arrived yesterday. They got into town before the pool closed, so we met them out there and all took a dip. Evan was working, so he was already there.
Today, after the Anthis guys get done, I'm heading over for Mara to paint my nails. :)
I'm not yet where I want to be, but by the grace of God I'm so far from where I once was......still on the journey.

Hoaders won't be knockin' at my door
I have had a day of cleaning out kitchen cabinets. Yes, be jealous! Anyway, I've found stuff I didn't even know I had. And a load of stuff I realized I didn't need. My policy is if I haven't used it in 2yrs, I don't need it. Why do I save junk? I can tell you why. I don't like change. I like being comfortable and having "stuff", even things I have no earthly use for. So, even though it's not fun I occasionally have to just get out a trash bag and "go to town". When I'm done I realize how much more organized it makes things and I promise to be more regular at cabinet cleansing. Sometimes I better, sometimes not...but at least the camera crew from Hoarders won't be knocking at my door!
