Wisdom Teeth goodbye!

What a morning! Katy got her wisdom teeth out this morning. They took her back at 10:35 and we were pulling in the garage at 11:35! wow I called Dad and asked that he would meet us at the house to help me get Katy inside. She was VERY out of it. She has woke up more, slurped a little pudding, drank some water, took a pain pill and is now sleeping again. Bless her heart!

Camping pictures from the 4th of July at Boggs

More camp pics. Tammy holding Dannica....a rare moment. All the family and friends parking on the hill to watch the show. Mark eating kettle corn waiting for the fireworks. Where else can you camp and collect candy at a GolfCart Parade? Evan taking a dive off the pontoon boat. A good time was had be all!

More camp pics

Here are some more pictures from our holiday camping at Boggs. Evan and I were the only ones brave enough to get in the water when we all went on the pontoon boat. He was out in it longer than I was!! I love the picture of Katy holding Kailey, so sweet. The next 2 pics were taken in our camper. Jocelyn, Kendra, Katy, and Evan all playing the same Nintendo Ds game. They also had a card game with snacks going on at the table. ;)
The last picture is a baby oranatang(sp?) that the people across from Kim and Daniel had. They let Katy hold it, I couldn't believe she was that brave.
{Actually it was fake, but it looked too real! Kim and Daniel said they had fun watching the reactions of people cruising by on bike, golf carts, or walking around the campground....DOUBLE-TAKE!

Safety Last?

One of our camping friends took these pictures of Evan wielding a hatchet while wearing flip flops. If any DNR emplyee wants to copy/paste it for their brochure on WHAT NOT TO DO, feel free.

Go Jump in the Lake!

Ever heard that phrase? "Go jump in the lake" Evan did just that and he LOVED it! We all very much enjoy the Gadberry/Christy pontoon boat. We appreciate it that they are so great to take us out on the lake. We always have a wonderful time on Boggs Lake. :) I got in too, but not for long. The July 4th weekend turned rainy, chilly and made the lake a little too cold for me to stay in for very long.

Keeping Bryn

We are into our 3rd week of having Bryn at our house while his mommy & daddy are at work. It has been an adjustment having a wee one here. My baby is 12! Katy and Evan are a huge help. They assist with the works, everything from feeding a bottle to a diaper change. Bryn is so many things. He's lovable, predictable, comical, and snuggable. It's amazing how one little toothless grin can just melt my heart. It's the most peaceful part of my day to stretch out in the recliner with him asleep on my chest. He can instantly brighten my day by cooing at me. We are really glad that he can be here at our house with us.

Only 1 way

Thought for the day: I noticed this morning how Evan's clothes were laying on the bathroom floor about 6in away from the hamper. I thought, "Close, but no cigar." But then I also had another thought. I thought about all the people that will almost make it to Heaven. They will think they've been good enough, or helped enough people, or done the right things. They will think of all the bad things they haven't done, the ones they have done and were sorry for. But they won't make it in. They'll be just like the Evan's clothes, just a little shy of the hamper. See, there's only one way to Heaven. John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." Jesus is the way to Heaven. Accepting what He did for you, and knowing Him. If you believe ANYTHING the Bible says, then you have to believe EVERYTHING the Bible says. Folks, don't come up 6in shy of the hamper.

Buried Treasure!

I have been cleaning, pitching, sorting, trashing, etc.... this morning. I was diving into the mess that is our roll-top desk and I found a McDonalds Arch card. Hmmmm, I wonder? So I went to the website and checked the balance: $5.00! Do I share this info or keep it to myself to try out one of their new and probably disgusting gourmet coffees? I promise I'll share it. It was such a treat finding it, I'm sure the kids will get just as big a kick out of it as I did. :)

Cousins

Evan got a new doo this morning, a flat-top! Bryn has almost as much hair as he does now! Evan has been waiting for another boy cousin, he wants him and Bryn to be best buds. :) He got ready early for his opening game so we could stop at Bryn's house first. Evan offered me a turn at holding him, but I didn't have the heart to take him out of Evan's arms where he had fallen asleep. Are they not the cutest things?

He loves me! (2/04/09)

I haven't blogged much lately. I haven't been completely alone very much lately. :)

But today.....well, let me tell you about today.

(and I hesitated at first because I think that some that may read this don't know God's love..yet. but if I didn't share this with you, then I would not be being obediant, so here goes)

I took my kids to school this morning. They've been on snow days since Tuesday and they had 3 of them last week. So I'd taken them to school, stopped to get more cording for Parachutes for Columbia (that's another blog soon) and was headed down the highway.

All the sudden I realized I was by myself, all by myself! I realized how much I had loved having my kids with me the past 2 weeks and now I really missed them being back at school. Then, for lack of better words, I just felt the inside of my vehicle flood with this peaceful warmth. I knew the Holy Spirit was speaking to me. And He said, "You love them, but I love them even more." If that wasn't enough....then He said, "And I love you even more than you love them." WOAH Ok, that's a lotta love, because you're talkin' about the momma/child love here. And He said He loves me more than that?! Folks, the tears just starting flowing. I could not have held them back if I'd tried. It was such an overwhelming loved kind of tears. I LOVE my kids. But God just told me that He loved me even more than I loved my own children. The awkward part of this was that I was headed to the library to pick up some tax forms. And when I have had a flow of tears, I'm not a pretty post-crier. Thank goodness that my transitions lenses darkened as I walked from the van to the library door! ;)So....I've got something I want to tell you. God loves you more than absolutely any kind of love that your mind can come up with. Think of someone or something you love.......got it?........well, God loves you more!! :)

May you feel the indescribable, overwhelming love of God this week!
